Coating Fabrics
Coated fabrics are fabrics that go through surface treatment that normally give them special appearance or attributes, such as durability, waterproofness, water repellency, rubber look, reflective, etc. Common ingredients include TPU, PU, PVC, Silicone, Acrylic.
Acrylic Coating
Acrylic coating is applied to fabrics that require a stiffer handfeel, often used for bags and floor mats, etc. It does not have good waterproof functions and has the cheapest price.
PU Coating
Most often coating method for fabrics that need waterproofness. Due to inherit attributes of PU (Polyurethane), the handfeel is relatively soft and can be applied to stretch fabrics. The water column can be adjusted to match each client's individual needs.
Non Solvent Based PU Coating
A sustainable alternative to traditional PU coating which the adhesive has no solvent involved.
Silicone Coating
Coating for waterproofness that has best handfeel and waterproofness. It also can enhance the binding strength of the yarn to increase the tearing strength of the fabrics. Extremely suitable for lightweight fabrics that have low denier such as 20D, 30D fabrics that require waterproof attributes.
Bee Wax Coating
Pure, unbleached organic bee wax imported from Germany. Excellent for jackets and bags could achieve waterproofness of 1000mm.
PET Coating
Unlike traditional PU/TPU coating, we offer PET coating as well, which are derived from recycled plastic bottles. Coated with polyester fabrics, the fabric could be recycled together at the end of the product's life cycle.
