Since 2008, the German Sustainability Prize has primarily been awarded to companies that have made their business model sustainable. For the first time, the German Sustainability Prize was also awarded in the International category. The award was given to the collaboration between the textile companies Jeckybeng from Berlin and HerMin Textile from Taiwan, which operate a joint laboratory for the functional properties of sustainable textiles. The joint laboratory aims to develop resource-saving materials and substances for a circular strategy.
Our Partner: Jeckybeng
We are very pleased that our long-standing partner and innovative fashion brand, JECKYBENG, was also honored with this award. Without the trust and incredible work of the Jeckybeng’s team, a project as complex as 'The NATURAL LABORATORY' would not have been possible.
The Natural Laboratory Project
The focus of the collaboration with Jeckybeng is the development of an environmentally friendly and sustainable production, as well as new ways to produce materials more efficiently as part of a circular economy. To this end, together with our partner, we have founded a sustainable laboratory called 'The Natural Laboratory' to incorporate functional properties into sustainable textiles. The aim is to use resource-saving materials and fabrics for a circular strategy for the entire textile and fashion industry.
