Plastic-Free Stretch Fabric
Stretch fabrics are usually made from petrochemicals, generating greenhouse gases and shedding microplastics when washed. Being non-biodegradable and difficult to recycle, they contribute to textile waste. At Hermin textile, we are committed to finding sustainable solutions for stretch fabrics. Our BNS Bouncy Technology™ uses 100% pure cotton with “0” elastane, making it completely plastic-free and fully biodegradable.

Plastic-Free Wind-Resistant Fabric
Wind-resistant fabrics are often unsustainable due to synthetic fibers, chemical coatings, and complex recycling processes. Made from petroleum-based materials with toxic finishes, they resist biodegradation, making disposal and reuse environmentally challenging. Our wind-resistant fabric is 100% plastic free fabric and manufactured from extra-long staple fibers using special weaving techniques. Based on the principle of geological compaction, the weave is durably compacted under pressure and temperature, giving the material its characteristic glossy appearance. No coating of any sort is applied. The material is available in cotton and Tencel®, ranging from 90 to 130 gsm.

Plastic-Free Weatherproof Fabric
Waterproof cotton is rarely 100% plastic-free, as it often contains synthetic coatings or blends for water resistance, reducing its natural purity while enhancing durability and functionality. However, Hermin's waterproof cotton fabric is made from extra-thin, long-staple cotton fibers using a very tight, traditional weaving technique. When dry, the fabric's pores open up to allow breathability. When wet, the overtightened cotton fibers swell, sealing the weave and making it waterproof.
Depending on its intended application, the material is available in weights ranging from 200 to 286 g/m², providing a true alternative to hardshell synthetic fabrics. GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric options are also available.

Plastic-Free Softshell Fabric
Softshell fabrics are typically not sustainable due to their synthetic materials, such as polyester and elastane, which are derived from petroleum. Their production and disposal contribute to environmental pollution and microplastic waste. Hermin Bio Softshell fabric, however, is crafted from 100% cotton, setting it apart from traditional fleece varieties. Our unique finishing process ensures that no microplastics are created, making it fully biodegradable. The fabric's refined brushed effect not only provides natural warmth and insulation but also maintains pile sturdiness. This innovative approach positions our product as the most natural alternative to synthetic fleece options available today.
